Ancient Antiquarian Research Center

Aurora Ancient Artifacts Studies focuses on the core aspects of “material(liao), craftsmanship(gong), form(xing), and pattern(wen)” to conduct detailed and integrated research on ancient artifacts. Based on the exploration of the origin of these objects, it aims to reconstruct material culture and social life. While revealing the development of human civilization, it transforms ancient artifacts into researchable historical materials and promotes interdisciplinary collaborative studies.

The Aurora Ancient Artifacts Research Centre is equipped with a research library and a teaching specimen room for ancient artifact studies. While conducting research on the museum’s collection, it also provides academic research services for professional scholars and lecturers. The Centre has established teaching and practice bases at universities such as Peking University and Fudan University.
